How the game works

One question a day, live from 08:00 UK time for 24 hours. Name all five answers. Each answer has its own clock that starts on 200 points and loses 2 every second, 20 for every wrong guess, and 100 if you leave the app or switch tabs. A correct answer banks what's left and resets the clock. If the clock hits 0 your go is over and you keep what you banked. Leave twice and your go is over. The answers are revealed when the day closes.

Hints

Invite a friend with your link. Once they join with your username as their inviter and finish their first game, you get a hint. Use it during a question to reveal one name. One hint per question, and a hinted name doesn't lock in points.

I think an answer is wrong

Every answer is checked against at least two sources before it goes live, but football moves fast. Email us the day and the answer and we'll look at it the same day.

Using the app and the website together

In the app, go to Profile → Play on the web too. Enter the code on leaderball.app under "Already play in the app?". Both then share one username, score history, streak and leagues.

My username is taken

Usernames are unique. If it's your own account on another device, link the devices as above.

Deleting your account

In the app: Profile → Delete account. See the privacy policy for what is removed.
